The challenges that come with a catalog this broad, and how we handle them transparently.
Our shipping challenge
In short, there is no one-size-fits-all solution for shipping.
The catalog
- Products range from under $20 to over $5,000
- Weights range from under 1 lb to over 300 lb
The people
- Employees don't want rewards diminished by shipping costs
- Employers don't want additional costs beyond the rewards
The couriers
- Couriers large enough to integrate with our system are more expensive
- Smaller couriers with better rates don't have the technology to integrate
All of these contradicting factors are why there is no percentage-based formula or "free shipping over $X" threshold that works.
Carrier weight limits
The maximum weight each carrier accepts per package. A product's weight decides which carriers can take it, and what it costs to send.
